About Goa Shipyard Share Price
Under the administrative direction of the Department of Defence Production in the Ministry of Defence, Goa Shipyard Limited is a defense public sector enterprise owned by the Indian government. The company provides general engineering services, shipbuilding, and ship repair to the commercial and defense industries.
The shipyard of the corporation is situated in Vasco do Gama, Goa. As part of its diversification efforts, Goa Shipyard Limited has finished building specialized infrastructure for the production of GRP vessels and established independent facilities to support ship repair and general engineering services operations. The company has established a liaison office in Karwar, Karnataka, in order to explore possibilities for ship maintenance.
The potential of a modest shipyard named Estaleiros Navais De Goa to support this national goal was realized in 1961, following the independence of Goa. The yard, which was eventually renamed the Goa Shipyard Limited, was purposefully renovated, developed, and changed to become one of the nation’s top defense shipbuilding locations on the West Coast.
Also, under the administrative direction of the Department of Defence Production, Goa Shipyard Limited creates and constructs high-tech vessels for the Indian Navy, Coast Guard, and other clients. Additionally, it constructs commercial vessels such as tugs, dredgers, fishing boats, offshore supply vessels, and vessels for oceanography and coastal research.
Goa Shipyard Ltd. grows the nation’s naval defense sector’s increasing need for shipbuilding. One of the few shipyards in India having an internal design department is Goa Shipyard. In order to effectively address the unique needs of clients in the defense and commercial sectors for the design, building, maintenance, and modernization of vessels, GSL conducts its own research and development.
